H.E Onari Duke, Hafsat Abiola, H.E Sarah Sosan and others to speak at GLEEHD Foundation’s Women in Business & Leadership Summit in Lagos


Lagos Nigeria, 06 August 2014 - Eminent women drawn from various sectors of Nigeria and the United States are billed to speak at GLEEHD Foundation’s Women in Business and Leadership Summit (WIBLES) coming up on the 20th of August, 2014 at The Dream Center in Lagos.

Under the theme Women - Transforming Societies, Developing Economies, the Summit would feature various plenary sessions including Transforming Public Service through Women Participation, Women in Business: Transforming the Market Place, Emerging Women Leaders: Leadership through Influence, Media and Imaging Women as Transformers and a Mayor’s forum featuring local government chairpersons with the plenary theme - Women Transforming Communities.

The Summit will address the importance of networking within professional fields and focus on the role of women in developing, transforming and sustaining Africa’s economies and communities.

According to GLEEHD’s Africa Director, Dayo Israel, “participants at the Women in Business and Leadership Summit will connect with other leading women, hear inspirational stories, and learn valuable tactics they can use their lives and vision. Confirmed US Speakers include Directors of some of GLEEHD Foundations international partner Organisations including Tonya McNeal Weary of the Michigan Association of Female Entrepreneur and the Dr. Naomi Barber-King, Wife of Rev.  A.D King, (Brother to Dr. Martin Luther King) and Chairman of the A.D King Foundation, both who would speak via Live webcast.

The WIBLES’ curtain call will feature a cocktail reception and live musical performances by foremost Nigerian entertainers.
